Farnborough
is a vibrant English town situated in north east Hampshire. It is perhaps
best known for its bi-annual international air-show which attracts visitors from
around the world. |

a fine leisure centre and its many state and private schools are augmented by
Farnborough Technical College which provides excellent post school training and
education courses. The American Community School in Egham offers door to
door busing services to Farnborough and Fleet and many surrounding locations. |
| Farnborough Town football club enjoys a strong local
following and has proved an obstacle to clubs in senior leagues. Quietly unheralded the town is home
to The Young Entertainers' Musical Theatre School and Farnborough Symphony
Orchestra. |
| Two railway
stations provide a fast connection to London and cross country routes to Surrey
and Berkshire towns. The M3, M4 and M25 motorway network is nearby with a
motorway link at Farnborough. The business community is active with major
companies having their headquarters in the area. Government departments
also have bases in Farnborough and IT companies abound. |
| Queensmead
is a comprehensive shopping precinct and just two miles away at the motorway
junction major M&S, Tesco and Sainsbury stores are located.
Interesting local pubs and restaurants provide varied ambience and meeting
places. |
| Fleet is to be
found just a few miles west of Farnborough. A slightly smaller county town
it has a traditional shopping centre augmented by shopping precincts
sympathetically developed within it. It is also on the main line rail
service to London Waterloo. |
Within
a few miles there is Elvetham Heath, a substantial virtual new town built within
an attractive wooded area. |
| Farnborough
and Fleet offer not only ready access to the M3 and rail services but they are
within a few minutes drive of many attractive Hampshire villages and provide
excellent places in which to live.
